Bolles likes the look of team

Lexington Head Coach Keith Bolles liked what he saw in the scrimmage last Friday with Minco and Wynnewood.

“We did some good things and of course there are always some things we need to work on,” the coach said.

“Our quarterback stepped up and we had a couple of receivers to step up,” he said.

Bolles said another positive that came out of the three-way scrimmage was the fact that his Bulldogs saw two total different types of offense and two different defense.

“The kids adjusted on the fly and that’s a good thing,” Bolles said.

Lexington will open the 2022 football campaign at home hosting Bridge Creek’s Bobcats Friday night.

Little is known about the Bobcats since all the tape coaches have is from the one lone scrimmage last week.

Since we really haven’t seen what they do the kids will have to adjust as they go especially since it’s the first game.

“We’ll have to start adapting but we’re excited and looking forward to the challenge of getting the season going,” Bolles said.

“We hope fans will come out. We can’t wait to get the season started,” the coach said.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
