Billy Ray Paulk

Billy Ray Paulk was born on February 8, 1932 in Calumet, Okla., to Luther and Velma Paulk. He passed away October 15, 2021 at his home in Dibble, Okla.

Billy graduated from Calumet High School in 1950. After farming for one year, Billy enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1952 and began serving in a career that took him all over the world.

Billy raised his family near Dibble, Okla. He later bought a farm near Okemah, Okla., where he raised cattle and then eventually moved back to Dibble where he resided until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings:, Glen Hughes, Bonnie Higby and Nancy Paulk.

He is survived by his daughter, Anita Dunn and husband, Jim; daughter, Rita Torneten and husband, Bill; son, Larry Paulk and wife, Angel; and daughter, Shari Quintana and husband, Jorge.  He was “Papa” to seven grandchildren,  Brian Dunn, April Wood and husband, Dane, Joe Dunn and wife, Jess, Zachary Paulk and wife, Emily, Lacey Cain and husband, Michael, Dr. Sean Quintana and Evan Quintana; five great-grandchildren, Blaine Davis, Briley Wood, Bristol Wood, Hadley Dunn and Carson Cain; bonus grandchildren,  Sarah Janssen and husband, Elliot, and Lisa Torneten; bonus great-grandchildren,  Jude and Zech Janssen; honorary grandchild, Scarlett Albert; honorary great-grandchild,  Avery Albert; and a sister, Roxie Meade.

Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, El Reno, Okla. A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the funeral home. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Red Rock Cemetery in Calumet, Okla.
