Beverly Ann (Phillips) Hicks

Beverly Ann (Phillips) Hicks was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., on December 10, 1948 to Willie G. Phillips and Dorothy E. (Hinshaw) Phillips. Beverly married the man she would spend the next 34 years with at the young age of 16 1/2. They were a perfect fit. She enjoyed anything that involved Leon and their children.
She passed away on August 22, 2025 at the Westbrook Assisted Living Center in Purcell, Okla. A place she called home for past four years.
Beverly is survived by her three children, Leon Hicks Jr. and wife, Kelly, of Stillwater, Okla., Kim Beck and husband, Steve, of Pauls Valley, Okla., Chad Hicks and wife, Laurie, of Washington, Okla.; and stepson, Michael Barnett and wife, Shelly, of Macomb, Okla. She is also survived by grandchildren, Steven Beck, Sean Beck, Austin Hicks and wife, Claire, Shania Taylor and husband, Matt, Dalton Hicks, Katelyn Hicks, Hayden Hicks, Michael Barnett Jr. and wife, Chelsea, and Makyla Goodnight and husband, Dustin. She was blessed with six great-grandchildren, Hailey, Lillan, Parker, Cooper, Ashlynn, Jeter and Reese; sisters, Margaret Johnson and husband, Delbert, and Robyn Wilhoit and husband, Terry; brother, John Phillips and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Hicks Sr.; her parents and brother, Larry Phillips.
Beverly was most happy when surrounded by family and friends. She loved to craft, play Bingo, go to casinos, fish, camp and travel and anything her kids and grandkids were involved in. Beverly felt her greatest accomplishment was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be forever missed by those who knew and loved her.
Services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Absolute Economical Funeral Home, 7721 N.W. 10th St. Suite B, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Interment will follow at the Blanchard Cemetery.
