Authorities investigating deaths

On Monday, April 13, McClain County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to an address in rural McClain County, south of Purcell on state Highway 74, regarding a welfare check.  A family member had found one person deceased, prompting a call to law enforcement. Deputies, along with Purcell Police Department, arrived and found a female and a male deceased.  After a sweep of the house, it was determined no one else was in the residence. At this time, authorities are not searching for any suspects.
The OSBI Crime Scene Unit arrived to provide support.  The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office will determine manner and cause of death.  The incident is under investigation by the McClain County Sheriff’s Office.
