The November edition of Purcell’s Art Walk on Main Street is set for this Friday, November 15, from 6-9 p.m.
The evening will feature various types of art, live music and a host of vendors set up along Main Street selling jewelry, vintage clothing and more.
Last month’s Art Walk brought another good crowd to browse the participating vendors.
“We only have two Art Walks left before we take a small break throughout the winter months,” said Dustin Green, one of the event’s organizers.
“Several activities will be taking place all up and down Main Street. Not only will we have our usual food, music and vendors, we are also hosting Oklahoma native and children’s book author Dana Patterson. She will be reading her newest book to kids starting at 6:30 p.m.
“And the fabulous Lauren Tharp will be doing hair tinsels at Main Street Vintage and the raffle gift box will be back this month,” Green concluded.
New to the Art Walk this month is a Cornhole Tournament to benefit the Purcell Animal Shelter sponsored by Auntie Mae Antiques. Adult entry fee is $10 per person. First place prize is $125, second place prize is $75 and third place prize is $50. Prize money is being donated by McClain Bank.
A children’s tournament for kids to age 12 will also be held.
All proceeds go to Purcell Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) to help the Purcell Animal Shelter.
Fifteen Main Street shops are sponsoring the event including:
• Above Board Gourmet Food Shoppe
• Auntie Mae’s Antiques
