The calendar may read April but the first week of the month sure seemed a lot like March.
Your heart has to go out to those folks to our east who have been getting hammered by floods and tornados.
When you hear stories about a nine-year-old boy being swept away by raging water when he was merely walking to his school bus or the story about the five-year-old that was killed when a tree fell on his home.
From the floods in Tennessee, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri and Kentucky to the raging wildfires right here in Oklahoma there is tragedy all around.
I had a friend from Colorado call to check on us with all the tornados.
I told him we were fine but they come our way in May.
That’s not something anyone of us looks forward to.
With all the recent rains followed by warmer temperatures at least area firefighters and those across the state are beginning to breath a sigh of relief.
The foliage can’t green up fast enough for our first responders.
But the greener grass means it’s about time to break out the lawn mowers and edgers.
Ugh!
