A Celebration of Life Memorial for Angie Rains, 71, of Lexington will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Rose Hill Cemetery east of Lexington. Services will be under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mrs. Rains passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Pamela Angelita Williams was born May 29, 1950 in Lindsay, Okla., the oldest of four children born to Everett Lee Williams and Patsy Ann (Trout) Williams. She was raised in the Hughes community where she attended school.

She married her first love, Carl Dean Rains.  They made their home in Lexington where together they raised four children, son Carl Jr. (Bubby)  and daughters, Amy, Carla and Bonnie. Angie’s greatest joy was her family. She worked hard as a wife and mother, caring for their every need, and she was never happier than the day she became a nana.

She stayed active in her grandchildren’s lives, cheering for them in their various activities and sporting events.  Angie loved lake life, and was blessed to retire to Lake Texoma with Carl.  She enjoyed the simple things in life; watching wildlife and feeding all sorts of critters.

After Carl’s passing, she returned home to Lexington to be closer to her girls and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, a proud nana, a sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Dean Rains Sr.; son, Carl Dean (Bubby) Rains Jr.; her parents, Everett and Patsy Williams; sister, Jo Retta Edwards and brother, Dale Williams.

Angie is survived by her daughters, Amy Nemecek and husband, Kerry, of Purcell, Carla Carmon of Pauls Valley and Bonnie Dunaway and husband, Jayson, of Lexington; brother, Pete Williams and wife, Annette, of Purcell; 10 grandchildren, Colby (Kristen), Ashton (Tate), Christin (Colton), Mayson (Baley), Blake and Jayce; and a host of other family and friends.
