A Lexington man was killed in a one vehicle traffic accident in Texas County October 1.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Frank Magner, 69, died from injuries he sustained in a one vehicle accident just east of Hardesty.

Investigating OHP Trooper Eric Brown said the eastbound 2016 Ram 1500 pickup, driven by Magner, hydro-planed on US 412 going off the north side of the highway.

Brown said the vehicle rolled over two times and struck a tree coming to rest on its wheels.

Magner was admitted to Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon in critical condition with head, arm and trunk injuries. He later died.

He was extricated from the vehicle by firefighters from Hardesty and Hooker using the Hurst Tool.

A passenger in the vehicle, Rose Magner, 19, was treated at the scene for minor injuries, the patrol reported.

Brown was assisted by Trooper Joan Alvarez, the OSBI, Texas County Sheriff’s Department, Hardesty Fire Department, Guymon Fire Department and the Hooker Fire Department.
