A real Grinch

Inflation can be a real Grinch.

Just ask McClain County Operation Christmas.

Checking prices for the annual giveaway of food baskets, the charitable program learned the holiday hams  will each cost $3 more than a year ago.

“We definitely need cash donations,” Peggy Christian said.

Monetary donations should be sent to McClain County Operation Christmas, P.O. Box 756, Purcell, 73080.

Christian praised the schools’ efforts with canned food drives.

Also needed this year are toys and school supplies.

Completed applications are due no later than November 28. Applicants must be McClain County residents.

They can be turned in at the Delta office at 122 W. Main in Purcell.
