9 new faces for Lexington

New additions to the faculty at Lexington Public Schools this year includes Chad Walker, Katelynn Lewis, Tori Miller, Amanda Winter, Nikki Ennis, Jacy Goostree, DeAirous Cathey, Bryce Gaddy and Amy Dibble.

Walker and his wife, Tonya, have three children.

He will be teaching Oklahoma History and U.S. Government.

A graduate of Weatherford High School and SWOSU, Walker has previously taught English in the Oklahoma City School District.

“I’ve interviewed with  Lexington multiple times throughout the years,” Walker said. “I’m excited to be here.

“I’ve coached and taught at many levels but I’m most grateful for the birth of my grandson, this summer named Walker.”

Lewis and her husband, Bryckton, have two children.

She will teach 8th grade science and is the high school fast-pitch coach.

Lewis is a Blanchard High School graduate and earned her degree from East Central University.

She previously taught 8th grade science at Marietta.

“This a great opportunity to move closer to home while helping to build a great athletic program,” Lewis said. “I am going into my sixth year teaching and my fourth year coaching high school softball.”

Miller will be teaching 8th grade pre-algebra. She is a graduate of Harrah High School and the University of South Alabama.

“This will be my first year teaching and coaching. I am more than excited to apply my experiences to this opportunity,” she said.

Lexington graduate Amanda Winter will be teaching 8th grade U.S. History.

After earning her degree from Southwestern in Winfield, KS, Mrs. Winter has served as a PE teacher at Lexington and was the lead virtual teacher at Sunflower Virtual Academy in Kansas last year.

Winter is married to her husband, Jonah.

“I chose this position because it is allowing me to give back to my hometown and invest in the community that shaped me,” she said.

“It’s an honor to give back to the school and community that poured into me and I’m excited to help create a positive culture where students feel supported, challenged and encourage to succeed.”

Ennis and her husband Jarod have one son.

She will be teaching high school computer science, yearbook and keyboarding.

A Lexington High School graduate, she earned her degree from East Central University.

She previously taught high school English at Lexington.

Mrs. Ennis said she was just ready for a change.

“I’m super excited to be back,” she confirmed.

Goostree and her husband, Jason, have two sons.

She will be teaching both sophomore and senior English and speech.

A graduate of Elk City High School, she earned her degree from SWOSU and previously taught at Newcastle High School.

“I have heard great things about Lexington Schools,” Mrs. Goostree said. “I’ve heard they have great leadership and strong community and school culture.

“After many years as a high school teacher, I still really enjoy my job,” she concluded.

Cathey is engaged to Kristen. He has two children.

He will coach and be a field coordinator.

Cathey was graduated from Strayhorn High School and NWCC Strayer University.

He has previously taught PE and Sped Inclusion at FCA Lewisville/Dallas Conrad.

“I truly believe I’m here for a purpose on purpose. ‘A God Thing’,” Cathey said.

“I am ready to light up the scoreboard with the Bulldogs. I’m all about faith, family and football and serving others,” he concluded.

Gaddy and his wife, Cara, have two daughters.

He will be teaching 10th grade world history.

He is a Davis High School graduate and earned his degree from ECU. Gaddy has previously taught government and Oklahoma History at Pauls Valley.

“I have been working in mental health for the pasts three years,” Gaddy said. “I have always worked in you or service to the community since I have been an adult.”

Dibble and her husband, Andrew, have a son.

She will teach music in grades K-5.

She graduated from North Carroll High School and earned a degree from Houghton University.

She previously taught music at Lester Elementary School.

“I am new to Oklahoma,” she said. “My husband will be at OU for his doctorate in choral conducting.”
