89er’s Day celebration

Lexington’s annual 89er’s Day Celebration will be Friday and Saturday.

Saturday’s parade begins at 2 p.m.

Registration for Saturday’s car show begins at 8 a.m. with the awards presentation at 11.

Entry fee for the car show is $20. Categories include Best in Show, Original, Unfinished Class, Hot rod, Modern Car, Modern Truck, Best Motorcycle, Classic Car and Classic Truck. For more information contact Charley Givens at 405-708-8386 or Jeff Green at 405-314-0876

There will be a Kiwanis pancake breakfast Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at McCown Park.

There will be the annual carnival both days along with food vendors, an event for the entire family. The carnival will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
