Q. How did you end up in the EMT business?
A. After completing college, I found myself enjoying helping people. At this point in my life, I was a ready to make a career choice even if it was the wrong one, so I leaped in the field of EMS and it has been a lifelong career.
Q. What do you enjoy about your work?
A. I enjoy making a difference in people’s time of need. I always hope that when I encounter patients, my time with them is meaningful to them as well as myself.
Q. What challenges do you face in your business?
A. Meeting the treatment and emotional needs of the patient. Every patient presents different challenges, so your care needs to be adjusted to each one individually.
Q. How has the business changed since you started?
A. New technologies and medications have continued to increase the level of care EMS can provide. More of patients’ lives are being saved due to this continuing evolving treatment methods.
Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?
A. I mostly spend time with my kids and family. I also try my hand at golf, but my golf game needs a lot of work.
