Mid-America Technology Center is pleased to welcome 13 new employees to its team for the 2026-27 school year.
The group brings experience from education, industry, healthcare, technology, hospitality and school administration to their new roles at Mid-America.
“We are excited to welcome these new employees to Mid-America,” Superintendent Mike Eubank said. “Each brings valuable experience and a desire to make a difference for our students, customers and communities. We look forward to seeing the impact they will have as part of our team.”
Emily Hitch of Noble — PRO Healthcare Trainer
Hitch joins Mid-America as a PRO Healthcare Trainer. Hitch is entering her 10th year as a nurse and has served as an Assistant Director of Nursing and Infection Preventionist at local facilities. Before becoming a nurse, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medication Aide, earning her certifications through Mid-America Technology Center.
Returning to Mid-America as an employee gives Hitch an opportunity to help prepare others for careers in healthcare. She looks forward to helping the next generation of caregivers achieve their goals and hopes to support students in whatever way she can.
Outside of work, Hitch enjoys attending her son’s t-ball games, going to the lake with him and attending concerts.
Madison Martin of Elmore City — PRO Administrative Assistant
Martin joins Mid-America as the PRO Administrative Assistant. She brings four years of office experience to her new position. During that time, she progressed through several roles across three companies under the same ownership, eventually becoming an Office Manager.
Martin is looking forward to the new experiences and challenges her position will bring, as well as opportunities to continue developing her skills. Her initial goals include learning the responsibilities of her position, getting to know her coworkers and becoming comfortable in her new role.
Outside of work, Martin enjoys spending time with her husband and their one-year-old son and especially enjoys watching her son experience and discover new things.
Dalton Porter of South Oklahoma City— IT Technician
Porter joins Mid-America as an IT Technician. Originally from Moore, Porter spent 11 years working in the grocery retail industry before deciding to make a career change. He attended CareerTech, where he completed classes and earned IT certifications to begin his career in information technology.
Porter looks forward to learning about different technologies and how they work while helping customers resolve technology issues. As he settles into Mid-America, his goal is to learn the campus, become acclimated to his position and absorb as much information as possible.
Outside of work, Porter enjoys axe throwing, pickleball, playing games, watching game shows and crime documentaries.
Sloan Beaty of Washington — Retail and Dining Assistant Teacher
Beaty joins Mid-America as a Retail and Dining Assistant Teacher.
Originally from Louisiana and now living in Washington, Beaty brings a hospitality and culinary-focused background with experience in a variety of roles throughout the industry.
Beaty also credits growing up in 4-H with helping develop the work ethic and values carried into both work and everyday life. Beaty looks forward to giving back by sharing industry experience and knowledge with students and helping prepare them for their future roles in the workforce.
One of Beaty’s priorities is getting to know students, understanding their current knowledge levels and learning more about the directions they hope to take in the future. Most importantly, Beaty wants students to know they have an instructor who is there to support them.
Outside of work, Beaty enjoys spending time with family, outdoor activities, sports and listening to vinyl records.
Robert Clary of Purcell — CADD Instructor
Clary joins Mid-America as a CADD Instructor. A Purcell native and resident, Clary brings 26 years of industry experience to the classroom.
His career has included work with companies and organizations in several industries, including AAON in heating, ventilation and air conditioning; Wood Group ESP/General Electric and CSI Compressco in the oil and gas industry; and the Federal Aviation Administration in aviation.
Clary looks forward to sharing the knowledge and experience he has gained throughout his career with Mid-America students. His goal is to establish an environment where students can effectively learn and develop CADD skills.
Outside of work, Clary enjoys playing guitar and video games.
Ryan Whitlock of Shawnee — Program Director
Whitlock joins Mid-America as Program Director, bringing 14 years of experience in education. Originally from Durant and now living in Shawnee, Whitlock most recently spent three years at Metro Technology Center as Assistant Director of the South Bryant Campus.
Before entering CareerTech, Whitlock spent six years with the K20 Center at the University of Oklahoma, where he served as project director of the OETT grant. His education experience also includes serving as a high school and middle school mathematics teacher and as an instructional coach for Norman Public Schools.
Whitlock looks forward to getting to know Mid-America and learning more about the people and industries the technology center serves. One of his first goals is simple but important: learning names.
Outside of work, Whitlock and his family enjoy camping and hiking whenever they have the opportunity.
Dot Terrill of Noble— Administrative Assistant and Bursar
Terrill joins Mid-America as Administrative Assistant and Bursar. A graduate of Wayne High School, Terrill also has a previous connection to Mid-America, having attended the Business and Computer Technology course at the technology center as a young adult.
Terrill began her career with Wayne Public Schools as a paraprofessional before joining Noble Public Schools. During her time at Noble, she served in numerous roles, including paraprofessional, high school receptionist, high school registrar, administrative assistant to the principal, district registrar, deputy treasurer, administrative assistant to the superintendent, treasurer and minutes clerk.
In her new role at Mid-America, Terrill looks forward to helping students realize their ambitions, cultivate their potential and prepare for future success.
Outside of work, Terrill leads “Off the Hook,” a church group that crochets and knits projects for local community needs. She also enjoys gardening and amateur radio, operating the call sign KJ5KRV to make digital and voice contacts around the world.
As she settles into her position, Terrill hopes to learn Mid-America’s systems and procedures, get to know the team and, in her words, avoid becoming “the reason we all have to sit through another cybersecurity training module.”
James Vines of Bray— Advantage Instructor
Vines joins Mid-America as an Advantage Instructor. Originally from Lone Grove and now living in Bray, Vines brings 18 years of experience in education to his new position.
Vines looks forward to helping students develop the skills they need to become employable and successfully enter the workforce. As he begins his new position, his goal is to learn the ins and outs of Mid-America and become familiar with his new role.
Outside of work, Vines enjoys trout fishing.
Hunter Carnell of Lindsay— CNC Machining Instructor
Carnell joins Mid-America Technology Center as a CNC Machining Instructor. Originally from Lindsay and now living in the countryside between Lindsay and Maysville, Carnell brings more than a decade of manufacturing experience to the classroom.
Carnell looks forward to the opportunity to continue growing and learning in his new role while sharing his industry experience with students. As he begins the school year, his first goal is simple: “Survive.”
Outside of work, Carnell has recently taken up photography.
Kim Holding of Blanchard— Admissions Coordinator
Holding joins Mid-America Technology Center as an Admissions Coordinator.
Holding has spent the last 12 years in public education, working at Blanchard Intermediate School as a language arts, grammar and writing teacher.
Prior to teaching, Holding spent 16 years in marketing and public relations.
Holding looks forward to combining her backgrounds in student engagement and public relations to promote Mid-America Technology Center and connect with a new generation of students from Mid-America’s partner schools.
Outside of work, Holding enjoys spending time with her family, watching true crime documentaries and exercising, particularly cycling classes.
Cynthia Carr of Washington— Health Careers Explorer Instructor
Carr joins Mid-America Technology Center as a Health Careers Explorer Instructor. Originally from Purcell and now living in Washington, Carr began her nursing journey after spending seven years as a stay-at-home mom.
She earned her LPN in 2018 and her RN in 2024, and her nursing experience includes home health, women’s health and private-duty pediatric care.
Carr looks forward to inspiring her students to share the excitement she has always had for the medical field. She hopes students will see healthcare not only as a career, but as a field filled with purpose, possibilities and opportunities to make a difference.
As she begins the school year, Carr’s goal is to get to know her students—their interests, strengths, personalities and what inspired them to pursue careers in healthcare.
Outside of work, Carr enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, traveling, baking, quilting, crafting, raising chickens, gardening and working out.
Jennifer Flores of Blanchard— Bus Driver/TA
Flores joins Mid-America Technology Center as a Bus Driver/TA.
Originally from Noble and now living in Blanchard, Flores brings extensive experience working in education.
She spent 16 years with Noble Public Schools as a teaching assistant in a reading lab serving first- through third-grade students.
After moving to Blanchard in 2024, Flores worked as an administrative assistant for NASNTI at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma before joining Mid-America.
Flores is looking forward to being part of the classroom again and watching students gain the knowledge and skills they need for their futures. As she begins her new role, she hopes to build connections and confidence while becoming an asset to Mid-America.
Outside of work, Flores enjoys spending time with her three adult children and grandson, working in the yard, traveling and spending time with her pets.
Tyler Schardt of Newcastle— PRO Safety Trainer
Schardt joins Mid-America Technology Center as a PRO Safety Trainer. Originally from Eufaula and now living in Newcastle, Schardt brings experience in education as an adjunct instructor at Moore Norman Technology Center, as well as experience as a coach and teacher.
In his new role, Schardt looks forward to meeting businesses throughout the community and supporting their training and safety needs. As he gets started at Mid-America, he hopes to get to know the staff and build strong relationships.
Outside of work, Schardt enjoys spending time outdoors and reading.
