Wesley Dale Brooksher

Wesley Dale Brooksher was born on February 27, 1945 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Raymond and Ethel (Blackwood) Brooksher. He passed from this life on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years.

Wesley lived in this area most of his life. He graduated from Maysville High School in 1963. He worked as a horse trainer for many years and at Commercial Glass for 20 years. He loved his quarter horses and training them and going to Ruidoso, New Mexico and Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Wesley married Jandra on May 10, 1996 in Oklahoma City.  He loved his family and spending time with them.  He enjoyed going to pawn shops, garage sales, Remington Park, shopping online, and eating breakfast with the local Chickasaw Elders every morning.

Wesley was a member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Jandra of the home; sons, Anthony Brooksher of Norman, Chace Brooksher of Maysville and Tyler Brooksher and wife, Amber, of Rowlett, Texas; daughters, Baylea Brooksher of Maysville and Brianne Evans and husband, Kyle, of El Reno; grandchildren, Skye Brooksher, Ralea Brooksher, Shalyn Mutzig, Tate Brooksher, Cole Brooksher, Ava Brooksher and Ryder Evans.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ethel Brooksher; grandson, Koda Evans; brothers, Larry Brooksher and Carroll Brooksher; and sisters, Fuchsia Dixon and Norma Wilkerson.

Memorial services were held Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville with Bro. Eddie Wollenberg officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Okla.
