A Celebration of the Life of Weldon Bealsey, 72, of Washington was held Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mr. Beasley passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020.

Weldon James Beasley was born October 19, 1947 in Shamrock, Texas, the third of six children born to Chester and Ima Lee Beasley. He was raised in Shamrock and attended school there, graduating in 1966. He then attended Texas Tech where he earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Animal Science.

Weldon married Phyllis Reagan on January 25, 1969. They first made their home in Dumas, Texas, before settling in Goldsby on the Johnson Ranch, where they raised two daughters, Shala and Amy from 1978-1998.

Weldon’s heart was always on the ranch; building fence, working cattle and living the cowboy way. Weldon later married Sandy Musgrave on June 14, 1993,  and gained two additional daughters, Shelly and Lindsay. He then started Hat Ranch Cattle Company in 1998, which he operated until 2015.

Weldon’s hobbies were hard work, ranching, and traveling to Wyoming for several months at a time in the summer. He was a true friend, a good neighbor; a wonderful dad, grandpa and brother. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Beasley and his parents, Chester and Ima  Lee Beasley.

Weldon is survived by his daughters, Shala Mainus and husband, Greg, of Washington and Amy Hendrix of Washington; stepdaughters, Shelly D’Apolito and husband, Jeremy, of Oklahoma City and Lindsay Jackson and husband, Bryan,  of Edmond; two brothers, Coy Joseph Beasley and wife, Kathy, of Amarillo and Terry Beasley of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Dolores Reeves and husband, Alvis, of Corsicana, Texas, Cecelia Uzzolino of Wimberly, Texas, and Patricia Graham and husband, Jeff, of Amarillo,  Texas; nine grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
