Tuesday night the Wayne Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs picked up wins over Bray-Doyle. The boys won 72-24 and the girls won 57-22.
Boys
Eleven Bulldogs scored in the lopsided win over the Donkeys. Jaxon Dill was the leader, scoring 24 points. Ty Kemp joined him in double figures with 10 while Ben Fisher and Cameron Davis added eight apiece.
The offense was hot from the start as Wayne scored 33 first quarter points. Bray-Doyle managed two. The Bulldogs added eight points in the second quarter and held a 41-8 lead at halftime.
The Bulldogs had 31 points through the third and fourth quarters while the Donkeys had 16.
Wayne is sitting at a 5-4 record and will be back on the court January 7 hosting Lexington.
Girls
The Lady Bulldogs picked up a 57-22 win over Bray-Doyle to move their record to 7-3.
Senior Madilyn Sharp led the team with 14 points. Audra Watts was hot on her heels with 11. Taelyn Ringwald added seven, Allie Wells had six and Maddie Moreno had five.
Scoring was lopsided the entire game, as Wayne held a 35-11 halftime lead.
They outscored the Donkettes 22-11 in the second half.
The Lady Bulldogs are scheduled to host Lexington when their season resumes on January 7.
