Posted

Wayne was in Stonewall last week starting on Thursday where they lost a 55-29 decision to Stonewall, picked up a close 31-28 win over Tupelo and lost to Roff, 39-30.

Senior Kaylee Madden had 56 points through three games.

Saturday’s loss to Roff was close, but the Lady Bulldogs just couldn’t get anything going, offensively.

Just two girls scored in the game. Madden had 18, with ten of that from the charity stripe, and Jordynn Debaets had 12.

In a close game with Tupelo, scoring was low, but the second half proved to be the turning point as Wayne outscored Tupelo 16-12.

Once again Madden and Debaets led the team with 15 and 11. Madi Sharp added three while Faith Brazell had two.

The Stonewall loss was another low scoring game for Wayne. Madden was the leading scorer with 23.

Last Tuesday night, Wayne won an overtime thriller 40-35 over Asher.

The Lady Bulldogs held Asher scoreless in the overtime to pull out the five-point win.

Madden led the team with 22 points. Debaets added nine.

Due to impending weather, Tuesday’s games with Dibble were moved to Monday.

After the loss to the Lady Demons, 41-39, the Wayne Lady Bulldogs are 11-10 on the season.

They travel to Konawa on Friday.
