Posted

Washington picked up five more wins, including three in the FireLake Festival, to run their record to an impressive 29-4.

Their lone blemish over the week’s slate of games was a 5-4 loss to Chandler. But they avenged the loss with two wins over Lions (5-0 and 5-1)

They defeated Heritage Hall 5-2 on Monday with a combined effort of Katelyn Hicks and Maggie Place in the circle.

Kaile Kilmer went 3-3 at the plate and knocked in three RBIs.

Kilmer is hitting at a .339 clip at this point in the season.

In Friday’s 5-1 win over Cushing Kinzie Schultz homered and finished with two RBIs. Kaydence Andrews knocked in the other three runs in a 1-3 effort at the plate.

Maggie Place went the distance in the circle. Place struck out 10 batters while only walking one and giving up four hits.

Her earned run average is an incredible 0.834 this season.

Washington has (4A) Blanchard scheduled for today (Thursday) at 5 p.m.
