Vandals continue to plague the city’s splash pad park atop Red Hill.
It’s become an ongoing problem at the city’s Splash Pad atop Red Hill.
John Blue, Parks and Recreation Department director, updated residents on vandalism issues via social media.
“We have had so many issues with someone breaking into the controls to turn the pad on during the off season that they have damaged the pump that drives the features,” he posted.
“I’ve done what I can to make the pad operate on existing pressure. But that will only run a few of the features.”
The problem is complicated by repairs taking longer than anticipated.
