Funeral services for Tyler Joseph Piazza, 28, of Purcell were held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Purcell. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mr. Piazza passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Tyler was born May 1, 1994 in Oklahoma City, the oldest of three children born to Dan and Teresa (Wall) Piazza. He was raised in Purcell, and attended Purcell Schools, graduating with the Dragon’s Class of 2012. Tyler was a gifted musician and played trumpet for the Dragon Pride Marching Band.

He was grounded in his faith and active in his church youth group at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Purcell. Tyler was his own person and lived in the moment. He was an old soul who studied history and also an avid collector. He was a true outdoorsman and also collected guns and knives.

He was a proactive hobbyist, enjoyed video games and hanging with his friends. He was currently working at Target in Norman.

Tyler was taken from us too soon, but we find peace knowing he now rests in the arms of God. He was a wonderful son, the best big brother and a great friend to many. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Linda Piazza and Dale and Carolyne Wall and two uncles, Joe Piazza and Brian Wall.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Dan and Teresa Piazza of Wayne; sisters, Autumn Wyatt and husband, Blayne, of Norman and Sydney Parrish and husband, Malachi, of Norman and a host of other family and friends.
