Teddy Earl Anderson

Posted

Teddy Earl Anderson of Stratford, Okla., was born to Calvin and Dorothy (Jones) Anderson on August 19, 1949 in Wynnewood, Okla., and entered eternal life August 28, 2021 at the age of 72 years.

Teddy grew up in Elmore City and graduated there in 1967. Teddy worked at Tinker Air Force Base and later at Mid-America Technology Center as a security guard. He was a good driver and drove for Seth Wadley Ford and a casket delivery service. Later in life, Teddy used those driving skills to drive others to doctor’s appointments when they were unable to drive themselves.

He was an avid coon hunter and held a deep respect for Harold Walker and many others who served as his coon hunting mentors and friends. He loved his boys and his grandchildren. The best times of Teddy’s life were spent with them. Teddy easily loved others. The last statement he made was “I love all my friends.”  In 2018 Teddy suffered a debilitating stroke, and his son Shawn stepped in immediately to give his dad 24-7 care in his home until Teddy’s passing.

Teddy is survived by his father, Calvin Anderson; three sons, Shawn Anderson, Christopher Anderson and Devin Anderson; two brothers, Don Anderson and Carl Anderson; one sister, Patricia Anderson; and four grandchildren, Kyle, Caleb, Ashley and Emily.

Teddy’s mother, Dorothy Anderson preceded him in death.

Graveside funeral services for Teddy are scheduled for Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2 p.m. in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery officiated by Pastor Eddie Nabors. Interment will follow under the direction of Wooster Funeral Services.
