Funeral services for Sue Ann Martin, 76, of Lindsay were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mrs. Martin passed away Friday, October 4, 2019.

Sue Ann Idleman was born September 15, 1943 in Wayne, Okla., the second of four children born to Frank and Helen (McDade) Idleman. She was raised in Wayne and attended Wayne Schools, graduating with the Class of 1962.

On February 18, 1965, Sue Ann married her best friend, Hubert Wynn Martin, in Norman. They lived in the Purcell/Wayne area where together they raised son, Randy, and daughter, Holly. Sue Ann cherished her family! She was unselfish and forgiving, lived each and everyday with this example.

Sue Ann loved children, and for more than 16 years, she co-owned and operated with her dear friend Sharon Paddack the Wayne BullPups Daycare. But nothing made her more proud than being a “Grandma” to Amara and Ashley and “Nana” to Alicia and Gunnar, and later a “Gi Gi” to Alexiah. She was their rock and their biggest fan.

Sue Ann was an excellent cook, and will be forever remembered for her hamburgers, fried potatoes, and that fried chicken, a longstanding Idleman recipe. Sue Ann had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh. And whether playing games at family get togethers or listening to Maroon 5, she could keep you on your toes. She was the most loving and devoted wife and mother, the greatest Grandma, Nana and Gi Gi, a wonderful sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Idleman and a brother, Kenneth Idleman.

Sue Ann is survived by her husband, Hubert Martin of the home; son, Randy Martin and wife, Cheryl, of Lindsay; daughter, Holly Baker and husband, Sean, of Purcell; two brothers, Dennis Idleman and wife, Ann, of Healdton and Dicky Idleman of Wayne; four grandchildren, Amara Martin of Wynnewood, Ashley Martin and Edgar Colmenares of Maysville and Alicia and Gunnar Baker of Purcell; one great-granddaughter, Alexiah and a host of other family and friends.
