Roy Charles (Chuck) Coats Jr. passed away on March 13, 2020 in Norman. His family will honor him this summer with a memorial celebration.
Mr. Coats was born on May 3, 1949 in Atoka, Okla., the son of Roy Charles Coats Sr. and Clara Coats McCullar.
He was reunited in heaven with his grandparents; his parents, Roy Charles Coats Sr. and Clara Coats McCullar; his brother, Larry Coats; his sister-in-law, Linda Coats; his cousins, Don and Debbie Reeves and many other family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Coats; three daughters, Stacie Johnson and her husband, Brian, Sara Kimbrell and her husband, Josh, and Ryan “Leigh” Darling and her wife, Ellison; his son, Greg Coats; a loving grandpa to his many grandchildren; his brothers, David Coats and his wife, Debbie; two sisters, Karen Alexander and her husband, Jerry, and Connie Tilford and beloved by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
