Senior Ryan Johnson singled to score Lexington’s only run in a 12-1 loss to Davis Monday night.

He had a team-high three hits in three at bats. Braxton Keeseee, Kash Klupenger, James McMillan, Buddy Cormany and Cody Rollins had one hit apiece.

The Bulldogs were scheduled to host Davis on Tuesday. They were on the road the rest of the week, at Bridge Creek Thursday and at McLoud on Friday.

Little Axe

Last Friday the Bulldogs picked up the 4-2 win over Little Axe.

The bottom of the lineup was doing the work for the Bulldogs as they accounted for four of the seven hits collected and two of the three RBIs.

The game was scoreless until Lexington scored one run in the bottom of the fourth on a Cameron Haley single.

They added two more runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to lead 4-0.

Little Axe made a late push with two runs in the top of the seventh, but that’s all she wrote.

McMillan cooked on the mound. He allowed no hits and no runs scored and struck out eleven batters.

Klupenger came on in relief for the final inning. He allowed two runs and struck out two batters.

Wayne

It was Bulldogs versus Bulldogs last Thursday when Lexington beat Wayne 10-2.

Wayne jumped out 2-0 in the first inning when Jaxon Dill singled to score two.

But, Lexington answered with one run in the third.

They really broke it open with eight runs in the fourth inning including four pushed across on a Buddy Cormany grand slam.

Lexington added one more run in the fifth to round out scoring.

The Bulldogs collected nine hits in the win –two each from McMillan, Corman and Gavrie Williams. Keesee, Klupenger and Johnson had one each.

Colby Haynes was on the mound for all five innings. He allowed two runs on five hits, walked one and struck out five.
