Raymond Hamilton

Raymond Hamilton, 82 years of age, passed away at his home in Lexington December 3, 2019.

He was born July 18, 1938 to Woody and Juanita Hamilton in Hannah, Okla., and he was a long time resident of Lexington.

Raymond was a commercial insulator for 40 years and was a member of the Insulators Union Local 94. He enjoyed fast muscle cars, horses and his family.

For many years he trained horses in a company he formed with his mother, Juanita, and sisters, Eulela and Ima, called Hamilton Venture.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Sherrie; daughter, Carla Hamilton and her husband, Steev Kelly, of Cedar Park, Texas; daughter, Tonya Fox and her husband, Les, of Tecumseh; son, Russ Hamilton and James Hammonds of Rush Springs; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woody and Juanita Hamilton; sister, Cleda Jean; sister, Eulela Potter and sister, Ima Tiffin.

There will be a come and go wake from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, at his home in Lexington at 10301 Duffy Rd. The family would be happy for any to attend that wish.
