Purcell Firefighters extinguished a pair of house fires recently, one last Friday at 1723 Pybas and one Monday at 714 W. Apache.
Firemen were dispatched to the Pybas fire at 5:29 a.m. Friday. They were at the scene for just under two hours before knocking down the fire and completely extinguishing the blaze.
The call Monday came in at 5:53 a.m.
When firefighters arrived they noted heavy smoke coming from the front of the house. A burning couch was snuffed out and fire in the attic was doused.
Crews cleared the Apache address by 7:18 a.m.
Both structures sustained damage.
