Wayne’s offense has been sputtering as of late losing to Frederick 21-0, Apache, 17-7 and Elmore City-Pernell 11-0 last week.
In the loss to the Bombers Kaleb Madden had the lone hit for the Bulldogs.
Andy Lee was the offensive story in the Apache game going 3-4 with two doubles and six RBIs.
Madden went 2-2 and scored four times in the contest.
Rhett Kennedy drew a pair of walks and scored three times and coach Shane Collins got a hit from Jr Perez and a double from Ethan Mullins in a 1-2 outing. Mullins also scored twice in the game.
Wayne’s three hits in the ECP loss were by Perez, Lee and Brian Ibarra.
The Bulldogs were 2-5 heading into Spring Break.
They are scheduled to play a doubleheader at Colbert Tuesday starting at 4:30 p.m. and play in the Central Marlow Tournament next weekend.
