Due to a water outage, Mid-America Technology Center in Wayne will be closed Tuesday, September 21.
Superintendent Mike Eubank reported to The Purcell Register the school has been without water since last Thursday.
The leak is somewhere in the Rural Water District but as of yet has not been located, Eubank said.
“We have been limited in our toilet usage,” Eubank said. “We were open 1/2 day on Monday but will not be open for day time classes or activities on Tuesday.”
Eubank said the situation will go on indefinitely until water is restored to the school.
He said he has a few of the tank toilets that are operational for a limited number of specialists he has on campus.
“But it’s not enough for the full population,” he said.
