Rosary services for Mary Constant, 72, of Purcell were held Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mrs. Constant passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 25, 2022.

Mary Elizabeth Gullion was born December 12, 1949 in Purcell, the fifth of seven children born to Ray and Ella Gullion. She was raised in Purcell and attended Purcell Schools.

She married her high school sweetheart, her best friend and life partner, Ronnie Constant. They were the perfect couple and together raised a son, Dewey.

Mary worked mostly as a nurse’s aide, serving area nursing homes for more than 22 years. Her most memorable job was working for the J.D. McCarty Center. Her work there greatly affected her, and she kept pictures of the children as a reminder of her blessings.

Her greatest joy was her family and she cherished her grandchildren. She spent countless hours chasing them, to and from athletic events and other school functions, and they brought her much happiness. She enjoyed camping trips, boating and fishing, and on occasion, listening to Ronnie pick and sing.

She was a wonderful wife and mother, the best grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by three infant children, Sherman Constant, Ira Constant and Angela Maria and parents, Ray and Ella Gullion.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie of the home; son, Dewey Constant and Sarah Jones of Purcell; her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Gavin Constant, Kylie Constant, Payci Constant and Collier Goad, all of Purcell; siblings, Joan Cragle of Jones, James Gullion and Charlotte of Lexington, Harvey Gullion and Paula of Midwest City, Johnny Gullion and Barbara of Purcell, Niva Maxwell and Wesley of Purcell, Paul Gullion of Purcell and Donnie and Linda Constant of Wayne; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
