Linda Perry was born the sixth of 11 children to Ernest Hayes Perry and Bessie Imittie Perry on March 5, 1952. She grew up in Purcell and attended school there.
Linda married Kenneth “Buster” Thurston Jr. on March 8, 1970 in Purcell, and together they had three sons, Jerry, Micheal and Johnathan. Linda was primarily a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She was a “mother to many,” taking care of nieces, nephews, and eventually her grandchildren who brought her great joy and purpose in life.
For a time, Linda was a custodian for Purcell Public Schools where she took great pride in her work. Linda loved to fish and had many wonderful times on the banks, pole in hand, with people she loved, whether she got a bite or not. Linda also enjoyed a good trip to the casino and listening to her collection of classic country CDs lovingly curated by her family. She will be missed deeply by those whose lives she touched in this world.
