Lexington has a bye week this Friday night preparing for their September 9 showdown against Wayne.
Bridge Creek pinned a 32-0 loss on Lexington at Floyd West Field to open the 2022 gridiron season.
Senior quarterback Tate Collier had 49 yards passing while sophomore Gavrie Williams rushed for 62 yards on the ground. Senior receiver Trey Hartzog had a team high four catches for 35 yards.
Turnovers plagued the Bulldogs. They were intercepted twice and lost two fumbles.
Coach Keith Bolles said the game showed what things the Bulldogs need to work on and learn from the contest.
“I thought Ean Caywood played real well and Buddy Cormany played pretty well. And, I thought Cadyn Krueger had a real good game.
“Our defense played pretty well all night,” Bolles continued. “Now we have two weeks to get ready for Wayne.”
The ’Dawgs watched film on Monday and were going to get back to the practice field to hopefully iron out what needs to be ironed out.
