Funeral services for Lester Clouse, 83, of Wayne will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the Paoli First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Paoli Cemetery under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mr. Clouse died Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Purcell Municipal Hospital.

Lester was born on July 21, 1937 in Ketchum, Okla., the youngest of eight children born to C.P. and Agnes (Betcher) Clouse. He was raised in Vinita, Okla. After graduating from Vinita High School, he continued helping on the family farm and in their broom making business for a while before becoming a long-haul trucker. 

Lester was preceded in death by his parents C.P. and Agnes Clouse; wife, Karlene; brother, Homer Clouse; sisters, Pauline Griffen and Naomi Splaine; son, Steve Clouse; stepson, Russell Patrick and the mother of his children, Ann Woods. 

He is survived by brothers, Herbert Clouse and wife, Cora, of Arlington, Texas, Melvin Clouse and wife, Upton, of Boston, Mass.; sisters, Cuba McKinney of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Lillie Sanders of Keene, Texas; daughter, Vicki Littleton of Tupelo, Okla.; son, Todd Clouse and wife, Sherry, of Purcell; daughters, Brenda Stephens and husband, Stacy, of Atoka, Okla., and Sandy Sharp of Grady, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and close friends. 

Lester loved his truck driving days and he never met a stranger. After his retirement he loved telling everyone stories about all his adventures he had over the years. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
