The Lady Bulldogs are still working toward their first win of the season.

On the road at Prague last Tuesday, Lexington lost 9-0.

Then Thursday, in a close loss, the Lady Bulldogs dropped a 5-4 decision to the Lady Wildcats of Bethel.

Lexington held a 3-1 lead through three innings. Bethel took the lead thanks to three runs in the bottom of the third.

The Lady Bulldogs added another run in the top of the fourth to tie it up. But, they couldn’t hold off the Lady Wildcats as they added the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth to win.

Lexington had eight hits in the game, but also eight errors.

Pack and Baylie Rillema had one RBI apiece. Pack also led the team with three hits.

And, Monday in Purcell, Lexington ran into a red-hot Dragons team and lost 7-4.

Purcell got on the board first with three runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Lexington added four runs in the third to hold the one run lead.

But, Purcell would not be held down as they scored four in the fourth to solidify their win.

Lexington had seven hits and four RBIs, including two from  Abby Turnpaugh.

Cora Vazquez was 3-3 at the plate.

Vazquez also manned the circle for the Lady ‘Dawgs. She pitched all five innings and fanned four batters.

Lexington was scheduled to host Little Axe on Tuesday and be on the road for the Murray County Bash Thursday to Saturday.
