Janet Lynn (Biswell) Colquitt

Janet Lynn Colquitt was born on May 23, 1961 in Chandler, Okla., to Donald Biswell Sr. and Bonita June (Anderson) Biswell. Janet was raised in Bristow and attended Bristow Public Schools from kindergarten through high school. Janet graduated from Bristow High School in 1979.  

On June 24, 2002 Janet married William Norman “Norm” Colquitt in Purcell, Okla. Janet and Norm fostered many children through the years.

Janet lived in Edmond for many years, moving to the Purcell/Lexington area after marrying. She was employed by Sitel for many years as a customer relations representative.

Janet is survived by her husband, Norm, of the home; two stepdaughters, Jessica Colquitt (Isaiah, Marley, Olivia and Gunner) and Kasy Layne Colquitt; two daughters, Natalie of the home and Christina Atkinson (Hailey and Wyatt) of Purcell; her mother, Bonita of Norman; brothers, Mike and wife, Mary, of Guthrie and Don and wife, Eileen, of Norman; one sister, Dianne Snowder and husband, Floyd, of Drumright; brother-in-law, Charlie Kirkley of Asher, Okla.; sister-in-law, Connie Colquitt of Pauls Valley, Okla.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harlan and Pearl (Abbott) Biswell; maternal grandparents, George Anderson and Elizabeth (Potter) Anderson Wigley; her father, Donald Biswell Sr., and one brother-in-law, Jimmy Colquitt.

A Memorial Service for Janet is planned for a future date, when everyone can be together. Janet was cremated and her ashes buried at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, Okla.
