James Henry “Hank” Dye passed away on November 20, 2021 at the age of 71 years 9 months 20 days. Memorial services were held Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service. Hank was born January 31, 1950 in Plainview, Texas, to Henry Freemon and Tommie Verene (Denison) Dye. He was raised in Plainview, Texas, graduating around 1968.

Hank moved to Oklahoma after graduating. He worked as a Correctional Officer for many years. Hank worked for years at Thunderbird Casino, becoming a Table Games Manager before he retired. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing dominoes and card games, as well as collecting weapons. Hank loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Hank was preceded in death by his father, Henry Dye; his stepfather, Bob Fisher; his first wife, Brenda Gail Holmes;  his second wife, Terri  Leigh Dye; his son, Aaron Dye; his granddaughter, Brianna Dye;  brothers, Glenn Dye, Wayne Dye and Leon  Dye; and his sisters, Sarah Richards and Gloria Phillips.

Survivors include his mother, Tommie Verene Fisher; son, James Leon Holmes; son, Douglas Ray Holmes; daughter, Sherry Lynn Castro; daughter, Melissia Gail Wilson; son, Matthew James Dye; son, Henry Dean Dye; daughter, Amanda Marie Rodriguez; son, Zachary James Miller; siblings, Linda Daniels and Norma Gene Gepner; 29 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
