Funeral services for Grace Randol, 76, of Purcell were held Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the  Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Services were under the direction of the Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.

Mrs. Randol passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Norman Regional Hospital.

Grace Martha Haab was born October 5, 1944 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, one of three children born to John George Haab and Selma Martha (Hirth) Haab. She was raised in Ann Arbor, and attended school there, graduating from Pioneer High School in 1962. From there it was on to Michigan State, where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Social Work.

By chance, she met a young serviceman from Pauls Valley, Okla., named James Edmond Randol. He was on leave when her brother introduced them, and the rest as they say, is history. They quickly became friends and then so much more, and were later married on January 4, 1969 in Ann Arbor.

The young couple first made their home in Tacoma, Wash., followed by stops in Moore, Okla., Pauls Valley, Dallas and Norman. Together they raised three children, son, Jimmy, and daughters, Mary and Kathy. By 1986, they had settled in Purcell and have called it home ever since.

For nearly 30 years, Grace worked as a Medical Transcriptionist, and retired from Norman Regional Hospital. Grace cherished Jim, her children and grandchildren, and she lived every day for them. She was their biggest supporter and loudest fan and very rarely missed an activity or game. She was gracious, kind-hearted and fun loving; a precious wife and mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a true friend.  She will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Selma Haab; sister, Mary Erna Schellenberger and her parents-in-law, James and Modine.

Grace is survived by  her husband, Jim of the home; daughters, Mary Webb (Todd) of Purcell and Kathy Holder (Shannon); son, Jimmy Randol (Tara) of Norman; brother, Michael Haab (Dindy) of Ann Arbor, Mich.; six grandchildren, Cody Webb, Brett Webb, Dalton Holder, Brody Holder, Michael Randol and Andrew Randol; two great-grandchildren, Lane Webb and Tripp Webb; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends..
