Frances Lavern Allen died February 19, 2025, in Lindsay, Oklahoma, at the age of 69 years 5 months 20 days. Memorial Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Frances was born August 30, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, to James and Dorris (Mills) Plunket.
Her early years were spent in the picturesque surroundings of Chicko and Poolsville, Texas, where she graduated from Poolsville High School around 1973. Frances’s life was a tapestry woven with simple yet profound joys. She had a remarkable affinity for nature, finding pleasure in watching and feeding the birds that graced her path.
Her intellect shone through her love for reading and working on crossword puzzles, pursuits that brought her joy and stimulation. Culinary arts were another love, as she dedicated herself to her food service vocation as a cook, sharing her love for cooking with family and friends alike. Family game nights were a cherished tradition for Frances, where laughter and camaraderie filled the air, particularly during evenings spent with her close friend Marvin Rainwater.
She also found happiness in the company of her boyfriend, Densel Dutton, as they explored yard sales and dined together, sharing countless moments of love and friendship.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorris Plunket; her son, Shane Allen; and her favorite dog, Bruno.
Survivors include her son, George Allen and wife, Miranda; daughter, Julie Wiley; her son, Clinton Allen and wife, Jessie; her daughter, Victoria Allen and Jamie Coleman; her daughter, Tiffany Allen; her boyfriend, Densel Dutton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
