Christian Kirk, Landry Bacon and Jonathan Minor of Purcell were recently honored as Heart of Oklahoma Football Players of the Year.

Kirk was named the Defensive Player of the Year making 91 tackles, registering four tackles for losses, one sack and had two fumble recoveries.

Bacon was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year finishing the season with an 82 percent blocking mark.

Minor earned Defensive Lineman of the Year honors for finishing with 49 tackles, three for losses, registering three sacks, caused a fumble and recovered a fumble and scoring a defensive touchdown.

The presentation of the Offensive Player of the Year will occur at a later date.

Coaches nominate players each week for Player of the Week honors.

After the statistics are reviewd, the weekly winners get a T-shirt and photo in The Register.

Stats at the end of the season determine the yearly winners.
