Dorothy Marie Anderson was born August 6, 1941, in Carnegie, Okla., the oldest of three children and only daughter born to William Vernon “Andy” Anderson and Wanda Faye (Newton) Anderson. Dorothy spent her early years in Carnegie, as well as Anadarko, Sulphur, Muskogee and then Oklahoma City.

She married Bruce Wyatt and to this union, four children, daughters, Rhonda, Reneica and Relinda and son, Randy were born. Dorothy worked as a professional house cleaner for many years. She lived in Oklahoma City for a time, before settling in Purcell in 1964. She later married Bud May and they welcomed daughter Kelly to the family.

Dorothy cherished her family, and especially her grandchildren.  She was the ultimate collector, and looked for anything and everything angels and dolls. She was a woman of great faith and longtime member of the Liberty Tabernacle. She was a fun loving and kindhearted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud May; her son-in-law, Rick Pruett and her parents, Andy and Wanda Anderson.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Randy Wyatt and wife, Trish, of Sand Springs, Okla., daughters, Rhonda Wyatt of Broken Arrow, Reneica Groover and husband, Terry, of Oklahoma City, Relinda Pruett of Lantana, Texas, and Kelly Boyd and husband, Kris, of Norman; two brothers, Kenny Anderson and wife, Patsy, of Lexington and Rick Anderson and wife, Holly, of Monrovia, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
