Siblings of Brent Bruehl have put together a beautiful display cabinet full of memorabilia of his high school golfing career in the pro shop at the Brent Bruehl Memorial Golf Course.
Bobby and Neil Bruehl, Brenda Deger and Cari Wilson had all saved different pieces of memorabilia and put them all together in the display case along with his letter jacket, trophies and photos and more.
“We displayed it beautifully in a lighted shelf now permanently in the club house with some of his greatest achievements as a golfer as well as his heroic battle with cancer that ultimately took his leg and then his life way too soon,” Cari Bruehl-Wilson said in a letter to the newspaper.
She said head golf professional Mike Gowens helped her and Bobby when they were working on the display.
“If you haven’t seen the memorial, please do,” Cari wrote.
The course was named in Brent’s honor in 1977.
