The Jake Tournament

Despite being outhit by Ringling 7-6,  Lexington scored eight runs in the fourth inning to get the lopsided win for the consolation.

Senior Gavrie Williams had two hits while Braxton Keesee, Cody Rollins, James McMillan and Cash Dierking each had one.

Rollins also had three RBIs.

The Bulldogs and Blue Devils were all tied up, 3-3 heading into the fourth inning. But, that’s when Williams singled to score one run, Dierking doubled to score one, Keesee singled to score one, Rollins tripled to score three and Kaiden McRavin scored one on a ground out.

Lexington then held Ringling scoreless in the bottom of the fourth to win.

Ryan Johnson and Colby Haynes both spent time on the mound in the win. Together they had six strikeouts.

Through the four games in the tournament, Lexington collected 30 hits and 24 RBIs.

Monday night Lexington was in Dickson where they added a 1-0 district win to their record.

Senior Kaiden McRavin had Lexington’s only hit and stole three bases.

In the defensive battle Lexington was outhit by Dickson, 2-1. Dickson’s three errors proved costly as an error scored the game’s lone run in the fourth inning for the Bulldogs.

Kash Klupenger was on the mound for Lexington. He pitched all seven innings allowing no runs on two hits and struck out eight.

The ‘Dawgs were hosting Dickson on Tuesday for senior night.
