Chance of a lifetime

Five Washington High School Cheerleaders had the chance of a lifetime last week when they marched in the historic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

Hallie Dancer, Josie Castle, Gracie Cantrell, Paisley Taylor and Becca Madden made the “camp all-star” squad trying out at J&C Cheer Camps in Norman.

Rehearsals began immediately after they arrived in the Big Apple for the nearly 500 cheerleaders in the group.

In addition to participating in the 90th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade the girls also got a taste of the city seeing sights and experiencing a Radio City Rockettes performance and visited Times Square and Central Park.

They also took in a Broadway performance of the musical “Six”.
