Bulldogs shut out Central

The bright spot for the Wayne Bulldogs in the last week was a 13-0 shut out win over Central in the ECP tournament.

Kaleb Madden was on the mound.

Wayne had 11 hits and 11 RBIs in the win. Andy Lee had a home run and Rhett Kennedy, Braxton Smith and Lee all had multiple RBIs.

In their next game of the ECP tournament, Wayne was just short in a comeback against Blanchard. 

The Lions won 9-8.

Despite being down 9-0 through four innings. Wayne pushed eight runs across the plate in the bottom of the fourth, but could not overcome the deficit.

Wayne had just two hits in the game, but also seven ribbies, which helped the Bulldogs to come back.

Ethan Mullins was on the mound. He allowed nine runs on six hits with three strikeouts.

In their final game of the tournament, Wayne lost to Dickson, 5-2.

Wayne had eight hits and two RBIs in the loss.

Last week, Wayne dropped a game with Frederick, 15-2.

The Bulldogs were scheduled to host Maud on Tuesday. The Thursday game with Bray-Doyle was canceled.
