Brownout Monday

Posted

It didn’t last for over a few seconds but it was enough to disrupt some telephone and computer service.

At 12:06 p.m. Monday a brownout caused problems for some businesses and residents in Purcell.

Telephones were knocked out at The Purcell Register temporarily.

City of Purcell Electric Department Supervisor Trey Phillips said, “OGE was working on a transmission line and it blinked.”

Phillips reported he had confirmation from the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority.
