The Washington slow-pitch softball team flexed some muscle in the District tournament and dispatched Hennessey and Lexington twice.
They will now host the Regional tournament and kick it off with Stroud at 1 p.m. today (Thursday).
Also in the field are Coalgate and Latta.
Washington continued to pound the ball in the District tournament.
It was bombs away against Lexington in the first game, a 24-14 win.
Washington had homers from Elly Allison, Emma Curry (2), Kaile Kilmer and Maggie Place.
Kilmer and Place had grand slams.
Game two
Washington beat Lexington 14-1 in the second game.
The home run brigade again included Allison (2), along with Ellie Loveless and Tinley Lucas.
The trio accounted for seven of the team’s 14 RBIs.
