Accidents snarl I-35 traffic

A series of traffic accidents including a five vehicle pile up at Johnson Road snarled northbound I-35 traffic for hours Monday.

At least one child was transported to an area hospital.

In the five vehicle accident a man in a motor home was transported by Wadley’s EMS to OU Medical but reports from medical personnel confirm there were no serious injuries in any of the five accidents.

Three of the accidents occurred Monday and two were confirmed on Tuesday.

Traffic was at a crawl northbound on I-35 during the cleanup of the mishaps.

A lot of the interstate traffic rerouted Monday on SH 74 and some on SH 77.

I-35 opened back up Tuesday around 1:30 p.m.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not released any names.
