5 questions with Debbie Gantz

Posted

Editor’s note: Answering  The Purcell Register’s five questions this week is Debbie Gantz, Sunset Estates administrator.

Q: How did you come to be at Sunset Estates?

A: A friend told me about the administrator leaving. I prayed about it and talked to my family

about it. It’s nothing I ever thought I would do. (She completed 25 years in December.)

Q: Do you have a “servant’s heart”?

A: Yes. Very much, I guess.

Q: What is the biggest challenge you face?

A: Before COVID and during COVID, staffing is probably the biggest challenge of the business, especially now.

Q: If you weren’t at Sunset Estates, what would you be doing?

A: I’m not sure. If I ever retire, I will probably do more volunteering with my church (First Baptist). And spend more time with my grand kids.

Q: What is the best part of the work you do?

A: The rewards to me from the residents. Getting them to smile or tell about their lives. The happiness they bring.
